Privacy Policy & Affiliate Disclosure

This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you contact me or otherwise use my services through

My site is run out of the US, so by using my site, your are consenting to have your data transferred to services outside of the EU.

Information I Collect

My site has cookies from One Signal to enable push notifications. Cookies must be used for that feature of my site to work, and it collects information about what country you are in and what browser you are using. It does not collect information that allows me to identify who you are, such as your IP address.

(2019 Update: I no longer use One Signal. Feel free to follow me on Twitter or use the RSS Feed. IFTTT is a great way to get new posts using an RSS Feed via Email or Pocket)

Google Analytics also collects information via cookies to monitor website traffic, which is necessary to check the website's performance and speed.

If you decide to contact me via email, you will need to provide your email address so that I can give a personal response to your inquiries.

How I Use Your Information

Push notifications are used to share with you my latest blog posts as soon as I publish them.  Sometimes I will write blog posts about when I publish my work to Amazon or other sellers, which falls under the marketing category.

Google analytics data is for monitoring purposes only to check website performance. I do not share information from Google analytics with anyone. To see how Google uses cookies, click here.

When you contact me, your email is only used for the current correspondence. It is used for no other purpose, and it is not shared with any 3rd parties. If I need to contact you beyond that, I will ask for your consent during the original interaction to do so.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Your personal information and privacy matters, and I wish for others to respect my personal information as well. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

One Signal. One Signal handles push notifications via the use of cookies. It does not gather any information that will allow me to identify who you are. You can opt out of receiving notifications by clicking on the settings icon of the notification. That will allow you to remove my site from your browser notifications. You can also contact me, and I can delete you from One Signal.

I will end up using your email address in my current email client, Gmail, to respond to you. That information will not be shared anywhere else, and I will not save your email address to my address book unless there is a reason for continued communication, and I have gotten your consent.

If you feel uncomfortable contacting me by email, you can contact me via direct message @arcadiapage on Twitter.

Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy.  For push notification users, if I see that you've been inactive for 6 months, I will send you an alert to see if you are still interested in receiving them. If you do not respond, you will be removed from the list.
